Fixer Upper #1: East*****Shows.com (SOLD)
Niche: Outdoors
Traffic Source: Pinterest (75%), Organic (15%), others (10%)
Earnings: Ezoic, Amazon
October: $114.95
L3M: $216
L6M: $154
L9M: $107Fixer-uppers: It’s not an overall bad site. It gets primarily Pinterest traffic in a seasonal niche. You should have Pinterest expertise, a VA, or a desire to learn. A 12-month cycle on the site has not yet completed. One page gets 52% of traffic. Diversification between pages is needed.
Quick wins: The majority of the content was added in November 2019; updating the content can provide a boost. There is an upside in monetizing pages without Amazon links. Excellent niche with a hobby audience.
P&L, and screenshots: removed, the site has sold
Price: $3,000

Fixer Upper #2: U**********Fun.com
Niche: General information
Traffic Source: Organic (91%), others (9%)
Earnings: Ezoic, Amazon
October/September: Minimal earnings due to Ezoic issues.
August: $134.02
L3M: $107.65
L6M: $93.45Fixer-uppers: The site was monetized with Ezoic; however, was removed by them in mid-September due to quality control issues (see screenshot). On 10/24, Ezoic was replaced with Media.net and started earning $6 average/day. 50% of traffic is going to one page. Impacted by May Google Core update. The site is built on an expired domain; many of the backlinks are of poor quality and need to be disavowed.
Quick wins: Fix issue with Ezoic and place both Ezoic and Media.net ads together for the highest RPM. Add specific content about USPS rules, processes, etc. by state.
P&L, and screenshots: removed, the site has sold
Note: October would have earned $180+ assuming Media.net was operating for the full month.
Price: $3,200

Fixer Upper #3: SmartCat******.org (SOLD)
Niche: Pet
Traffic Source: Organic (92%), others (8%)
Earnings: Google Adsense at $13/month average
Fixer-uppers: With over 150 posts and 166,000 words of content, the site has not taken of. It needs to be optimized and improved. SSL certificate is missing. Page speed is slow. Google EAT missing.
Quick wins: The content can be removed from this site and transferred to another pet site. Improve the site in terms of page speed, SSL, EAT, and improve on-page SEO. Optimize top traffic pages for Amazon using plugins.
P&L, and screenshots: removed, the site has sold
Price: $1,500 (value of earnings, content, and traffic)

Fixer Upper #4: MyBaby*****.com
Niche: Baby, Parenting
Traffic Source: Pinterest (52%), Organic (39%), Others (9%)
Earnings: Google Adsense at $20/mo average
Fixer-uppers: With over 187,000 words across 361 posts, the site needs some care since it has not taken off since 2017. I would improve the on-page SEO of each article to target specific keywords.
Quick wins: The content can be removed from this site and transferred to another baby/parenting site with 301 redirects. There is NO dedicated Pinterest account for this site. The original owner used one account for multiple sites to pin (personal account). Opening a business Pinterest account for this site and repining would provide a significant boost. The sitemap includes images; this should be removed to improve the Google crawl budget.
P&L, and screenshots: removed, site has sold
Price: $1,700 (value of earnings, and content)

👉 What is a Fixer-Upper site?
A site can have one or many of these issues to be termed a “fixer-upper”:
A site that will take more effort to get out of the startup phase
A site that has a bad or weak backlink profile (e.g., private blog networks)
A site that is too niche without scope to expand
A site that is declining in traffic
A site that has a monetization issue
A site that has poor or duplicate content
With that said, a fixer-upper site will have good aspects such as quality and quantity of content, good backlink profile, brandable domain, etc. that all can be leveraged. Also, these sites can be purchased for much lower prices than an established site, or a brand new non-earning site from various vendors out there.
For beginners, they are perfect playgrounds to test and try things.
For seasoned experts that know how to fix specific issues, they can be turned into a high-earning site.
Make sure to perform rigorous due diligence.

"Fixer Upper" Sites For Sale: 4 Sites in Pet, Baby, Outdoor, and General Niches
Super interesting post, Mushfiq!
A couple of questions: why did you specify that the baby/parenting site content could be removed from this site and transferred to another site? Is that just one option, or is there a reason that you think that needs to be done?
Secondly, why is it a problem that a personal Pinterest account was used for pinning, and that the same account was used for multiple sites? Are there issues with using a single account for multiple sites? And advantages to using a business account over a personal account?
Thanks!
