Blueprint #1: WeSupportOrganic.com

Type: Expired domain

Niche: Health, Gardening

Source: SeoDN.com

Age: 7 years

AHREFS:

Backlinks: Backlinks from OneGreenPlanet, The Mind Unleashed, and 217 other referring domains.

Site History:

This was a blog focused on organic food, natural health, cancer prevention, off-grid living, DIY, and more.

Here is a snapshot of the past site:

Listed Price: $599

Growth Blueprint

This site can be turned into an authority business covering all topics of organic foods, healthy eating, and more.

This is what I would do:

  • Write informative articles on these topics

  • Review individual products

  • Write buying guides

  • Write an e-book in this niche as a tripwire opt-in for an email list. The email list can funnel traffic back to the site but also promote various products on Clickbank, and other platforms

  • Grow traffic via Pinterest. This is a Pinterest friendly niche.

Monetization can happen with digital products, Clickbank products related to organic health, Amazon, and display ads. There are many avenues to earn revenue with this one.

Blueprint #2: JerrysSportsCenter.com

Type: Expired domain

Niche: Sports

Source: Niche Website Builders

Age: 22 years

AHREFS:

Backlinks: Notable backlinks from GunnersDen, AmmoLand, Dun & Bradstreet, and 179 other referring domains.

Site History:

Since 1998, this was a website for a wholesale sporting goods store and also an e-commerce store where people could buy goods online.

Here is a snapshot of the past site:

Listed Price: This is a package deal for the domain, site build, and content:

  • Domain: $2,000

  • Site Build + 100K content: $6,495

  • Total: $8,495

Growth Blueprint

This would make for an excellent authority content site focused on the firearms, hunting, and shooting niche. This is what I would do:

  • Write individual product reviews in the niche (e.g., scopes, sights, hunting equipment)

  • Write buying guides

  • Create the site with proper categories so expanding into shoulder niches is easy

This niche can be monetized effectively via AvantLink’s network of outdoor brands including Brownell’s, OpticsPlanet, and more. Secondary would be Amazon.

Blueprint #3: ThermometersHQ.com

Type: Existing content site

Niche: Household

Source: Flippa (see listing)

Revenue: $60/month over last 12-months via Amazon and Google Adsense

AHREFS:

Growth Blueprint

Side note: This is a site that I would normally not review due to it being so niched down. However, this one has unique opportunities to drastically increase income.

Pros:

  • Top pages do not have Amazon links or are not tagging the Amazon links

  • Opportunity to promote CPA-based offers (see below)

  • Site structure and page layout can be improved

Cons:

  • Focused domain on thermometers only

  • Low authority with no quality backlinks

  • Non-expert written content

Here are my recommend easy wins with this site:

  1. No affiliate links or call-to-action buttons to affiliate offers within the content (e.g., no tags on this one, no links on this one)

  2. Change over to Ezoic from Google Adsense

  3. Google EAT is weak on the site. Create a better about page and include more authoritative info in the site footer.

  4. Remove social media links/icons. These are distractions.

  5. No related posts at end of articles

  6. Remove footer links to other sites

These are the type of easy wins I cover in my battle-tested database over at EasyWins.io (currently 20% off). Check out 100+ more strategies.

Growth Opportunity

There is a high commission thermometer product that you can promote. The product price is $39 and you get 10% of the sale commission on the product plus all upsells. This can be negotiated. The brand is also willing to pay for a guest post guide (i.e., Best Infrared Thermometer) of up to $300. You can then add affiliate links to products in that guide as well.

The real benefit is adding a table and popup on all pages of the site with their product instead of funneling users to Amazon.

With the current traffic and the implementation of the new product plus optimizing for the easy wins, the income should go up to $200/mo on average.

If you decide to buy this website, let me know. I will connect you with the thermometer brand affiliate manager.

Blueprint #4: EfficientProducts.com

Type: Expired domain

Niche: Environment

Source: ODYS.global

Age: 2003 (17 years old)

AHREFS:

Backlinks: Notable backlinks from Gigaom, GreenAmerica, Slate, and 69 other referring domains.

Site History:

EfficientProducts was an organization that researched and reported on the energy efficiency of consumer products. This included chargers, computers, monitors, TVs, and more.

Here is a snapshot of the past site:

Listed Price: $1,040

Growth Blueprint:

The new owner should continue from the original purpose of the site: providing facts and figures of energy efficiency of consumer goods.

Here is exactly what I would do:

  • Do roundup reviews of “Best Energy Efficient X products” Share statistics, references, and your thoughts

  • Create a searchable table where people can search for specific products and find the relevant energy efficiency stats

  • On the side, write individual product reviews of consumer electronics but always share the efficiency stats

  • On the side, write buying guides for consumer goods (e.g., Best Monitor Under $200)

This is a site that can be monetized primarily by Amazon and display ads.
